"...Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to become angry.." James 1:19 (also talks about taming the tongue in James 3). It's easy to lash out and say things without thinking, I think it is a blessing that you aren't able to easily do that, it has probably saved you from saying some hurtful things!
